AppMate Privacy Policy
Developer: BAU Solutions
Last updated: 2 October 2026
AppMate helps you organise, find and switch between installed Android apps and view app usage. This policy explains the information AppMate accesses, how it is used, and your choices.
Information used on your device
AppMate accesses information about installed launchable apps, including their names, package identifiers and icons, to display and organise them. With your permission, it accesses Android usage information, such as recently used apps and usage times, for usage insights and the Quick Switcher.
Your categories, favourites, hidden-app choices, essential shortcuts, app removal history and display preferences are stored locally. AppMate does not read the messages, photos, documents or other content inside the apps it lists. Hiding an app affects its visibility within AppMate only.
AppMate does not send your installed-app list, usage information or organisation settings to BAU Solutions servers. It has no developer-operated account system, advertising SDK or analytics SDK. We do not sell this information or use it for advertising.
Permissions and background operation
- Usage access: enables usage insights and recent-app switching. You can grant or revoke it in Android settings.
- Display over other apps: enables the floating Quick Switcher. It does not give AppMate access to the contents of other apps.
- Foreground service: keeps the Quick Switcher running while enabled.
- Start after restart: allows the Quick Switcher to resume after a device restart when you enable that preference and the necessary permissions.
- App removal: opens Android's uninstall confirmation when you choose to remove an app. Android controls the uninstall process.
You can disable the Quick Switcher and revoke special access in Android settings. Some features will then be unavailable.
Optional support payments
Optional contributions are processed through Google Play Billing. AppMate receives purchase status and transaction identifiers or tokens needed to complete a contribution. AppMate does not receive your card number or bank details and does not send purchase tokens to a BAU Solutions server. Google processes payment and account information under its own terms and Privacy Policy. Google Play may make transaction records available to the developer for payment administration, accounting and support.
Android backup and external services
Android backup or device transfer may copy AppMate's locally stored settings and data, depending on your device, backup provider and settings. These services operate separately from BAU Solutions. Manage backups through your device or backup provider.
Opening Google Play, a website or this policy uses the relevant external service. Those services may process technical information under their own privacy policies. Our website hosting service may record standard access information, such as IP address, browser information, requested page and access time, when you visit this policy page.
Retention and deletion
Local settings and records remain until you change or remove them, clear AppMate's storage or uninstall it. Clear storage through Android Settings > Apps > AppMate > Storage > Clear storage; labels may vary by device. This resets your AppMate preferences. Android usage records are managed separately by Android. Removing AppMate does not delete other installed apps or Google's payment records.
Backup copies may remain subject to your backup provider's settings and retention rules. If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send. We retain support correspondence only as needed to resolve your enquiry and meet applicable record-keeping obligations. You can request access, correction or deletion by emailing us; records required by law may need to be retained.
Security
AppMate uses Android's app storage protections for its local data. Protect your device with current security updates and a screen lock. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
Children's privacy
AppMate's local organisation features do not require a name, email address, date of birth or account. We do not knowingly solicit children's personal information through the app. Children should seek a parent or guardian's permission before making a contribution or sending personal information in a support enquiry. A parent or guardian can contact us about any information a child has sent to us.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy when AppMate or its data practices change. The current version and update date will appear on this page.
